SCOTT M. GRANET, LCSW, received his master’s degree in social work from New York University and has specialized in the treatment of OCD and related disorders for 30 years. In 2008, he opened the OCD-BDD Clinic of Northern California in Redwood City. Great workbook...but hard for OCD!!! Lol...I'm working on it little by little!!!

In an easy to read conversational style, he lays out a path to free yourself, by reducing the power of OCD to dominate your life. What is unique about this book is that the reader is not simply given good information, and then left alone to take the challenging steps to get better but rather author Scott Garnet stays with you for the journey. Together, you are on a shared mission, the author is your guide and coach who accompanys you as you move through each step. He’s got your back. He won’t desert you if you want to turn back, get stuck behind an obstacle, or lose confidence you can make it.From his decades of clinical experience, Scott Garnet knows this terrain; he has trekked this path so many times before that he knows every stretch in detail. He knows about, that hard part up ahead and how often people want to turn back there and he knows the tricky patch, which comes later when people often feel overwhelmed and anxious. This sort of thing happens in one form or another to most everybody and when it does the author will help you understand what’s going on, reassure and encourage you and help you find ways to take a smaller step or a different approach to keep moving forward. He has almost unlimited creative ideas for overcoming obstacles!.Like all good coaches, Scott knows you will succeed if you persist, he knows how tough the challenge is, and he has great methods to help. Exercises were helpful for me to see what I was doing and how to correct it.

This book is very dense with valuable information but short. Scott manages to provide a comprehensive and thorough overview of OCD and it's treatments in an accessible and cogent manner.
